Inbox

Your Inbox facilitates structured negotiations between you and your partners. Initiate quotes for materials you need, respond to quote requests from potential customers, and track the full quote lifecycle from initial inquiry to final agreement.

Quote Management

Filter quotes by status using the top navigation tabs (Not Actioned, Actioned, Pending, Closed) to organize your workflow. The inbox separates quote requests from action items, allowing you to track both incoming opportunities and follow-up tasks in dedicated sections. The interface displays detailed quote information including company names, material numbers, manufacturers, quantities, target prices, total values, timing requirements, and messages.

Quote Response

When responding to quotes, use the Send Response button in the bottom right corner to open the quote response side panel. This streamlined interface allows you to:
  • Review quote details including material specifications (part number, manufacturer, quantity)
  • Set pricing with AI-powered search assistance for market rates
  • Adjust quantities and delivery timing
  • Add personalized messages to your response
  • Calculate total values automatically
  • Compare your quote against the original request with percentage variance indicators
Company information, lead times, and contact details are pre-populated from the original request to ensure accurate communication. When a quote is accepted by both parties, it automatically converts into an Order . If either party rejects the quote, it moves to Closed status and the negotiation ends.

Email Processing Failures

The mail button displays a red notification dot when there is at least one failed Outlook processing attempt. These “Inbox Failures” require manual review to resolve parsing errors or missing data before they can be processed into your Seminode inbox. Common failure reasons include:
  • Cannot tie quote back to listing
  • Invalid or missing quantity or pricing fields
  • Malformed email content that couldn’t be parsed
Use the “Refresh” button to check for new failures and “Clear All” to remove resolved items. Each failure shows the sender, timestamp, error details, and current status (Pending) for systematic resolution.
